_{[Luckily for Astrid, all the text on her NV is in runes thus she's been able to fiddle around a bit with various functions. In her contact's list she finds Hiccup's name and, overly excited, calls him, holding her NV up in front of her face.]}

Hey-! Hey Hiccup! I've something awesome to tell you. Talk to me later, okay?

[The ~~rock~~ NV knocks over. Yes. It knocks over since its setting got stuck on vibrate. Hiccup jumps, grabbing onto it to see what was up. Amazingly, it lets him hear the message.

"Oh wow, that is great. I need to talk to Astrid- but how???"

And then the NV somehow magically connects to call her back.]

Hey, Hiccup? Are you there?

How did that evenYEAH I'm here! Hi! Astrid. Wh-what was important that needed to be told, like, right now?

You're never going to guess. _{[And then she pauses for dramatic effect, cheeks puffed out as she holds her breath. Of course, that doesn't last for long and she ends up blurting it out.]}

-I got a job!

You- oh.

[Well, there goes the chance at guessing. But he is surprised. His voice sort of holds that tone with the usual.]

Oh! Hey, that's- that's good! Great, even!

Isn't it? I went in for my interview today and was hired immediately. The man in charge said I'd be perfect, being a Viking and all. Makes sense though that he'd want a real Viking as a focal point for entertainment, considering it's a Viking restaurant and all.

Best part? I get to fight with my axe. Isn't that awesome?

It would be good. I think our parents would be proud too, that we'd be able to support ourselves. But, we're not there yet. We will be though, just not yet.

...I drenched the entire bathroom. The only reason other disasters haven't happened yet is because you've stuck signs everywhere telling me not to touch this or that. _{[Which were pretty annoying if she were going to be honest.]}

The whole kitchen is yellow thanks to your signs.

Someone's going to have to teach me how to use the things in there eventually.
